Motor Vehicle Accident Support

Motor Vehicle accidents

Navigating a Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) Claim

Navigating a motor vehicle accident (MVA) claim in Ontario can be complex, with numerous insurance requirements and medical appointments to manage. Our nurses understand the Ontario auto insurance system and can provide expert personal support from injury recovery to paperwork support. You have options that are available to you to seek help - and with a bird's eye-vew of your care, we'll coordinate your services and ensures nothing falls through the cracks, so you can focus on your health.

What to expect after an MVA

After a motor vehicle accident (MVA), it is common to feel symptoms such as pain, dizziness, or cognitive issues that may not appear right away, and may possibly worsen over time without proper care. In Ontario, Canada, if there were injuries or significant damage sustained, there is an obligation to report the accident to the police, where you will be given a collision report. If paramedic services are called, ambulance services are billed to the patient, and may later be recovered through motor vehicle accident insurance. Following the accident, you should seek medical attention - either in the emergency room, your family doctor, or a walk-in clinic. It is important to notify your insurance company as soon as possible of the accident so that you can initiate a claim. This allows access to benefits like income replacement, attendant care, and medical rehabilitation.

Our Registered Nurses (RNs) work closely with your GP or family doctor to monitor your recovery, identify delayed symptoms, and ensure nothing is overlooked. We help you coordinate your care, offer education about what to expect in the days and weeks following the accident, assist with forms, and provide in-home or virtual support tailored to your needs. Early intervention can make a significant difference.
