In Ontario, Canada, if there were injuries or significant damage sustained, there is an obligation to report the accident to the police, where you will be given a collision report. If paramedic services are called, ambulance services are billed to the patient, and may later be recovered through motor vehicle accident insurance. Following the accident, you should seek medical attention - either in the emergency room, your family doctor, or a walk-in clinic. It is important to notify your insurance company as soon as possible of the accident so that you can initiate a claim.
