Dementia is a general term used to describe a decline in memory, thinking, and decision-making that interferes with daily life. It can be caused by a variety of conditions, including vascular changes, or even reversible issues like vitamin deficiencies or medication effects.
Living with dementia, or acting as a caregiver to someone with Dementia, can feel overwhelming. But behind the changes, the person remains. Their worth, dignity, and spirit are still very much alive.
At Ontario RN, we understand that dementia care goes beyond medical support. It’s about patience, presence, and preserving the moments of clarity. We offer comprehensive care that integrates mental health support, chronic disease management, and compassionate daily care, all under one treatment plan.
At Ontario RN, we offer evidence-based, non-pharmaceutical therapies to guide you toward calm, confidence, and clarity. Our providers deliver evidence-based techniques in treating anxiety, such as cognitive behaviour therapy, neurofeedback therapy, and autogenic training to support wellness.
While we do not prescribe or manage medication at Ontario RN, medication can play an important role in a comprehensive treatment plan. For pharmaceutical interventions, we encourage that you consult with your primary care provider.
